Heritage Open Day

This year, Badshot Lea will be taking part in the Farnham Heritage Open Day for the first time.  On Sunday 16th September, the village hall (The Kiln) will be open 10.00-16.00 with tours on the hour every hour throughout the day, no advance booking required. This is the old village hop kiln, built in 1886. The tours will take visitors throughout the building and will include the restored hop drying room. The history of the building will be described, and that of hop growing in the village, how the building functioned, and how it now functions as a village hall. Access to the upper floors of the building to the restored hop drying room is limited, up a set of concrete stairs.
Further information on the Heritage Open Day can be found on the Farnham Town Council website.
