Neighbourhood Plan Referendum Result

The referendum for the Neighbourhood Plan resulted in a 90% yes from those that voted.

Although the Plan does not give complete protection it will, when implemented, indicate where development around our village will be supported and where it will be opposed. Following on from the referendum Waverley Borough Council has 8 weeks in which to adopt the new planning guidance for Farnham, including Badshot Lea.

Unfortunately this process will now be delayed for a few weeks until a legal challenge to some aspects of the Neighbourhood Plan, from a small group of developers whose land was not included, is heard in the High Court.

Let us hope that this is resolved as soon as possible and we can proceed to the adoption of our Neighbourhood Plan.

We will keep you informed.
